WOOOOOOOOOOOT! finished this!!!!! worked all weekend plus yesterday and a little today. talk about rushed!!! y wuz it rushed? well because itz for
's contest. we had to draw link in a dynamic pose, wielding one of his many items in front of any place on any map in the zelda series. i chose the ball and chain because it's so different and i wanted to make the bulky item look good. so i chose to use perspective to mine advantage. (not too great at perspective yet, so plz don't critisize too harshly if ur planning to)
i didn't have enough time to shade everything carefully, so i used gradients throughout. i think it turned out cool! itz such a neat and different style than what i'm use to. (because i like detail, as u can maybe see in the lineart of this pic)
least fav part(to draw that is): that window in tha background!!!!!!! sooo many intricate lines! and the chain! wow i hate drawing chains!
this is link in the chapel of the snowpeak ruins, fighting one of them icey monsters. (chilfos i think they're called?) i chose the chapel cuz itz one of mi fav places. not only does it provide u with a fun and slightly challenging battle, but itz beautiful!!! there's a hole in the roof and the snow gentley floats in. so pretty. not to mention the glow coming off the torches and the cold haze of the room are gorgeous as well.
this wuz a challenge, and it gave me quite the experience, not only in the coloring and lineart, but trying to meet a due date as well. (due date: tomorrow btw) talk about cuttin it close. ah well, itz dun, and i don't care if i lose, it wuz totally worth it
